This is 100% Pinot Gris, farmed organically and then vinified with minimal intervention by the winemaker and viticulturist Hayden Penny.
The wine has a full and rich texture in the mouth with good weight and length. On the palate, the wine has flavours of ripe, almost stewed, stone fruits with floral hints and a touch of spice. A subtle sweetness lingers on the palate and the wine finishes fine and long.
The grapes come from a vineyard in Gisborne. Its climate is similar to Bordeaux but cooler, producing a vibrant and textured Pinot Gris style that is versatile and food-friendly. Perfect for a happy hour or pizza night with friends.
